Impressions and inspiration closely interlaced, like his works are inseparably connected to his life. Olivier Beijn collects everything in what he calls his ‘warehouse’, where he transforms external incentives into an image, eventually creating them into a final form.
His oeuvre is a decorum for the way he experiences the world around him and what really moves him. In the stratification and universal language, that Olivier uses, new elements can be discovered endlessly.
His great love is the art of printing, in which he can freely express all that occupies his mind, like women, music, landscapes and the latest world news, using zinc and printing-press.
Lithography, etching, ex-libris, both colourful and modest as well as explosive and coarse, though very different, all have one thing in common: pure passion for profession; pure passion for life.
